Services

What We Offer

Patients who have had or are considering a gastric bypass should see the body contouring section for more information regarding procedures which can be performed after bariatric surgery.

Tummy Tucks

Abdominoplasty, also known as tummy tuck is performed in the outpatient surgery center under general anesthesia.

Pricing includes surgery center, anesthesia, surgeon fee and Exparel® for pain control. Patients are seen for an initial consultation to discuss their concerns and goals regarding abdominoplasty. This appointment generally takes about an hour. When a decision has been made to move forward with surgery, patients are seen for a second consultation to discuss preoperative forms and complete paperwork for the surgery center. Prepayment of surgical fees is required 7 to 10 days in advance.

The surgery takes 3-4 hours and the excess fat and skin in the abdomen is removed surgically. Often, drains are placed to prevent a fluid collection and they are removed post operatively. Patients are placed in a surgical binder to prevent swelling and support the abdomen while healing.

After surgery, patients are usually seen the following day then at one and two week intervals for suture removal and to evaluate healing. Patients are then seen at regular intervals to evaluate overall progress and to assess healing.

Body Contouring

Body Contouring or Sculpting can refer to a number of body shaping plastic surgery procedures or to a complete body makeover.

Upper Arm Lifts, Breast Augmentation, Reduction or Lifts, Liposuction, Tummy Tucks (Abdominoplasty), Buttocks-Thigh Lifts are options that can help restore your body to its youthful past.

According to the annual statistics of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the number of body contouring procedures performed has dramatically increased over the past five years. Abdominoplasty, Lower Body Lift, Buttock lift experienced a 200% gain while Thigh and Upper Arm Lift experienced a 400% rise. This parallels the increased number of patients that have undergone bariatric weight loss surgery.

Body Contouring is particularly helpful in removing excess skin after significant weight loss, whether from diet or surgery. After large weight loss, loose skin remains that can only be removed surgically. The abdomen, with the skin frequently hanging down like a drape hiding the belly button and pubic area, is a major problem as is excess skin of the arms, thighs, breasts, and faces.

Dr. Kiesnowski is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Plastic Surgeons(ASBPS), a society founded to help meet the needs of patients with these problems. He is skilled and experienced in all these disciplines and with consultation can explain the options available in your situation. While the outcome is never completely predictable, Doctor can help in projecting the possible results.

Liposuction

Liposuction, also known as suction lipectomy, is performed in our in-office surgical suite with a local anesthetic and mild oral sedation. Pricing for liposuction starts at $2500 and averages between $2500 and $5000.

Patients are seen for an initial consultation to discuss their concerns and goals regarding liposuction. This appointment generally takes about an hour. When a decision has been made to move forward with surgery, patients are seen for a second consultation to discuss preoperative forms and complete paperwork for surgery. Prepayment of surgical fees is due at the time of the preoperative consultation.

Liposuction can be performed on the abdomen, flanks, inner and outer thighs, arms, breasts and buttocks. Pricing will vary according to the amount of material to be removed and the location of planned surgical procedure.

Immediately following surgery, patients are placed in a restrictive binder on the surgical site in order to minimize swelling and bruising. Patients will be required to wear the surgical binder for 3 months following the procedure in order to promote the best possible result post operatively.

After surgery, patients are usually seen the following week and then at 2 weeks for suture removal and to evaluate healing. Patients are then seen at regular intervals to evaluate overall progress and to assess healing.

Botox Therapy for Hyperhydrosis

Botox therapy used on the body is for the control of hyperhidrosis otherwise known as excessive sweating. Botox Therapy is often a last resort in the treatment of this condition after other topical and oral therapies have failed. Documentation of conservative therapies are a prerequisite for the use of Botox therapy and we have been very successful in treating patients with Botox for hyperhidrosis of the armpits, hands, and feet. This is a non-surgical alternative for those who have failed conservative treatment. This treatment must be approved by your insurance carrier prior to administration of this therapy.

Scar Revision

Labiaplasty

Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure to decrease the size of the labia minora. This procedure is performed both for cosmetic and therapeutic reasons. There are many reasons that a woman could have enlarged labia including childbirth, aging, genetics, and sexual activity. Women who suffer from painful intercourse, difficulty with hygiene, urinary tract infections, and difficulty with exercise may benefit from this procedure. Insurance may cover labiaplasty if you meet medical necessity guidelines. Labiaplasty can be performed in the office or as an outpatient surgery depending on the specific needs of the patient.

Frequently Asked Questions

I haven’t had any massive weight loss – just getting generally flabby with age. Am I still a good candidate for Upper Arm and Thigh Lifts? How long will results of the surgery last?

Loose skin on arms, thighs or abdomen can be addressed by surgical excision to improve contour. Large weight fluctuations have the greatest negative impact on the lasting success of the procedures, whether brachioplasty (upper arm surgery), thigh lifts, or abdominoplasty, and circumferential torsoplasty for the abdomen and torso.

Maintaining a stable weight and exercise program will prolong the duration of the result.

What is the cost of the different procedures?

Cost not only varies with each different procedure but with each unique case. Please call our office 738.7200 or toll-free 800.801.3101, for an appointment or current fee schedule.

Liposuction pricing is based on OR time. For most patients pricing is between $3000 and $4000.

Following your initial consultation Dr. Kiesnowski will provide a quotation to cover your specific requirements.

Can you tell me, in general terms, the recovery or healing time for the different procedures?

Healing is dependent upon each individual’s system as well as their dedication to follow up therapy and required medication. However with most plastic surgery, the individual will show bruising for 2-3 weeks after the procedure. Sutures will have been removed after the first week to ten days. While the complete healing process may take several months, there are generally no obvious signs of surgery after 5-6 weeks following the procedure.
