What We Offer

Eyes
Blepharoplasty is the cosmetic or therapeutic removal of excess skin of the upper and/or lower eyelids. As they get older, many people will find that their upper eyelids will begin to droop. They will become so heavy that the skin will visibly cascade over the eyelashes causing a loss in the visual field. For people experiencing this sort of visual defect, insurance will often cover upper eyelid surgery. In order to determine whether a significant visual field defect exists an optometrist or opthalmologist can perform a simple test which will determine how much can be seen by the patient. The results of this test along with other factors of the physical examination will usually determine whether a medical condition exists for insurance coverage of this type of corrective surgery.

Surgery of the lower eyelids is usually determined to be cosmetic only; however, a physical examination is necessary to make a determination.

Whether eyelid surgery is cosmetic or corrective, the procedure is done in the same manner. The surgery is performed in office under local anesthetic or at an outpatient surgery center under a general anesthetic. Patients go home the same day and are seen at one and two week intervals for follow up. Patients are followed for 6 months to a year afterward

Ears and Earlobe Repair

Ears

Otoplasty, or ear surgery is performed for prominent ears or for congenital ear deformities. The goal is to produce more symmetric, natural appearing ears. This surgery is performed on children under a general anesthetic in a hospital or surgery center. The surgery can be performed in the office on adults. Recovery from surgery is typically two to four days.

Earlobe Repair

Earlobe repair can be performed in our office under a local anesthetic.  For most torn earlobes pricing is $450 for one ear and $800 for two.  For ear gauge repair pricing is $600 and up depending on the extent of the reconstructive procedure.

Lips
Dr. Kiesnowski can enhance thin lips with injections or reduce and reshape the lips surgically. Injections using FDA approved fillers can be performed in the office on the same day as the consultation and start at $650. Autologous fat injections can also be performed in our office surgical suite. This procedure uses one’s own fat to improve the appearance of the lips. Autologous fat can also be used to fill other areas of the face or body. Autologous fat injections can be performed at the same time as liposuction procedures as an add on service.

Surgical reshaping of the lips can be performed in our office surgical suite. Pricing for surgical reshaping starts at $2500.

Nose
Rhinoplasty is the surgical correction of a cosmetic, traumatic, or functional defect of the nose or septum.

Often people will experience a problem breathing, snoring or may have an internal nasal defect which will cause an obstructed airway. These types of problems will generally require corrective surgery which is covered by insurance. Traumatic injuries to the nose leaving a visible deformity may also be covered by health insurance.

Cosmetic deformities of the nose are not covered by health insurance. If you are interested in this type of cosmetic correction, we can provide you with a quote for cosmetic repair.

Rhinoplasty can be performed on an outpatient basis either at the hospital or outpatient surgery center. Rhinoplasty can be performed in conjunction with other surgical procedures.

Face Lifts
Dr. Kiesnowski has performed numerous procedures involving both male and female patients. In addition to working to help the eyes, ears, lips and nose, Dr. Kiesnowski has operated to improve the eyebrows, forehead and chin using implant or bone removal techniques.

Facelifts are highly individualized procedures and may be performed as an outpatient hospital service, or at the surgery center.

Facial Botulinum Toxin Therapy (Botox® and Xeomin®)

Botox® cosmetic injections are performed in our office by Dr. Kiesnowski and Tammy Marshall, APNP, FNP-BC. When you come to our office for a cosmetic procedure, you are paying for the expertise and experience of board certified providers and that is exactly what you will get.

Botox® Cosmetic and Xeomin® are used to relax the muscles of the forehead between the eyes or crows feet to provide you the patient with a more youthful and refreshed appearance. During an initial consultation, your overall goals for botulinum toxin therapy will be discussed, and if time warrants, injections can be performed the same day or at some point in the future.

Cost for the procedure will vary with the amount of botulinum toxin needed for completion of therapy but rarely exceeds $300 per treatment. Botox® Cosmetic is $13.50 per unit and Xeomin® is $8.50 per unit. If you are new to our practice inquire about new patient incentives.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are performed in the office surgical suite by Dr. Kiesnowski. Several different types of chemical peel are offered by our office. Superficial peels will improve skin condition and improve smoothness of the skin. Mild redness may last for several days. Medium depth peels will also affect the structure of the skin decreasing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Medium depth peels also have a significant effect on abnormal facial pigmentation. Redness and peeling can last for five to ten days. Deep chemical peels produce dramatic changes but require a general anesthetic.

GlyDerm® offers gentle and effective products for every skin type and skin color and all GlyDerm® Skincare products are noncomedogenic so they won’t clog pores, have no added fragrances and are free known allergens.

EltaMD

EltaMD sunscreens are formulated with transparent zinc oxide, a natural, mineral compound and are noncomedogenic, sensitivity-free, fragrance-free and paraben-free. Zinc is safe for even the most sensitive skin types. All EltaMD sunscreens are recommended by The Skin Cancer Foundation as effective broad-spectrum sunscreens.

When wearing EltaMD sunscreens, the UVA and UVB rays reflect and scatter away from your skin, providing you protection from sunburn and decrease the risk of skin cancer and early skin aging caused by the sun.

Frequently Asked Questions

General FAQs

Can my surgery be performed in the office under a local anesthetic? I am nervous about being put to sleep.

In some cases, yes.  Much of this decision-making process is between the patient and the physician and Dr. Kiesnowski can give you an opinion on whether or not your are good candidate for an in office procedure vs. a procedure performed in the operating room.

What about some of the “miraculous” wrinkle removal and anti-aging processes I read and hear about?

The skin care industry is growing and changing rapidly. But rather than latest and greatest solutions, we prefer conservative management that has a proven track record of success.

My son has inherited “fly-away” ears. If they are corrected too early will they have to be redone as he grows?

Surgery is generally performed when the patient is between 5 and 8 years of age – before the child is too far into school and subjected to pressures from other children. At this age ear growth has reached near maximum and typically no further procedures are necessary.
